I am learning to answer hard questions about a story I am reading. I will know I can do this when I can ask and answer questions about my story.

Term 2 Art Attack

LEARNING INTENTION
To produce a piece of Maori art using sketching and painting

SUCCESS CRITERIA
Sketch and the paint a koru using simple sketching skills and the dip and sweep painting technique

LEARNING OUTCOME
My learning outcome was Relational because I used a variety skills to produce my art

WHAT DID I HAVE TO SAY?
I liked doing the vivid outline because it is important

Art - Sketching

LEARNING INTENTION
Today with Mr Shaskey we learned about sketching and drawing. We learned to set he limits, draw the outline and then add the shapes.

SUCCESS CRITERIA
We can follow instructions and sketch some fruit and vegetables

LEARNING OUTCOME
Relational because I followed instructions and finished my sketch

NEXT STEP
To practice what I learned

WHAT DID I THINK?
It was hard to do the spikes on the pineapple because you had to do them small
I liked colouring the pumpkin because we got to mix the colour

Wonder Woman - Headings and Diagrams

Point out features such as headings and diagrams

SUCCESS CRITERIA
We can point out a heading and a diagram in a text

Because we can point to a heading or a diagram and we know what they are for.

WALT
Plan and create a piece of art that depicts a native New Zealand creature

SUCCESS CRITERIA
I can follow a plan and use a number of techniques to create my painting

Unistructural
Because I can do this with support

I will try to do this without support

Gymnastics - Straddle

I have been learning gymnastics.
I am doing a straddle position. I also learnt to do
the tuck, the pike and the stretch.
I can do a pencil roll, where I stretch out as far
as I can lying down and point my toes and fingers.
Then I roll.

Measurement

We are learning about measurement.

We measured across the room using multi-link blocks.
It took a lot of blocks. Some people used chairs.
Whatever was used had to be the same.

Statistics

We learnt that blue was the favourite colour of most people in Room 16.
White, rainbow and black were the least favourite. A few
people liked purple and orange.
